Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) was feeling regretful in Monday’s (July 8) episode of EastEnders.

The character has been determined to get her hands on some of Nish Panesar’s (Navin Chowdhry) inheritance, ever since it was revealed that he was dying.

Nish returned to Albert Square after being disowned by his family with the shocking news that he didn’t have long left to live. Since then, most of the family have accepted him back into the fold.

Unfortunately, Priya’s efforts to get into his good books and therefore his will were soon caught out, and Nish warned her that she wouldn’t be getting a penny.

Determined to secure a future for herself and her kids, Priya came up with a plan in recent scenes, and approached Nish with a deal.

She explained to him that she was sure he didn’t want to spend his last few months ‘fizzling out’ and offered to make them much more ‘enjoyable’ – for a small fee, of course.

At first, Nish laughed her off, but Priya remained determined.

When Nish later returned to the house, having witnessed a particularly romantic moment between ex-wife Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and girlfriend Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), Priya tried again to convince him to agree to her deal.

As she pointed out how good it would feel to see the look on Suki’s face when she learnt that he was sleeping with Priya, Nish soon called her bluff, suggesting that she wouldn’t be prepared to go far enough.

However, Priya had soon proved him wrong, and the pair ended up kissing.

This situation occurred at the same time of Nugget’s (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) collapse. After spotting his mum and granddad kiss, Nugget slumped to the floor, suffering from the side effects of steroid abuse.

In tonight’s episode of the BBC One soap, Priya struggled with the distance between Nugget and Avani (Aaliyah James), who couldn’t understand her decision to get closer to Nish.

After visiting Nugget in hospital and attempting to reconnect with him, Priya returned home and dealt with Avani’s angry wrath.

To her surprise, Suki then approached.

Suki and Priya have never really seen eye to eye, but what followed next was a sign the ice between the two characters was starting to thaw a little more.

Suki told Priya that Nish no-doubt hates her right now, but then reassured Priya and said that enemy of Nish’s, is no enemy of her’s.

Priya managed a small smile afterwards and it was clear she was grateful for Suki’s comments.
