Coronation Street star Lisa George looked fabulous as she showed off her slightly changed look while she ditched the UK with one of her castmates. The actress revealed she’d undergone the chop as she paid a trip to the hair salon before jumping on a plane to Canada.

Back in May, Lisa, who is known for playing Beth Sutherland in the ITV soap, told fans to ‘watch out’ as she confirmed that she’d be heading to Canada to meet fans of the show.

The show has a huge following, to the extent cast members fly 4,000 miles to host meet-and-greets, and Canadian fans travel to the UK in a pilgrimage to the set at MediaCityUK in Trafford. It was revealed that Lisa and Mollie Gallagher, who plays Weatherfield’s very own Nina Lucas, would be the next Corrie stars to make the trip.

Ahead of meeting Mollie at the airport, Lisa revealed her hair change by posting a selfie to her Instagram Story. She could be seen smiling for the camera as she showed off her shorter blonde locks and said: “New hair… Don’t care!!” She added: “Finally got my hair cut shorter after 13 years!!! Thanks to @meghangorman_hair.”

Lisa then continued her posts as she shared a snap of herself and Mollie and told her fans and followers: “And boarding!! Bon voyage! See you soon #Canada #Corrietour #girlsontour.” Mollie, meanwhile, shared a picture to her own Instagram Story showing the two Corrie stars on the plane. Giving peace signs for the camera, the actress said: “Canada here we come.”

It comes after Lisa was seen being able to enjoy a much-welcomed reunion with her former co-star after ditching the UK. Last week, she revealed on social media that she had headed off on a summer break and had been sharing updates with her fans and followers.

Lisa confirmed on Instagram that she had jetted off to Venice and has since revealed that she is enjoying her stay with former Corrie co-star Katie McGlynn. It’s been several years since the pair were seen together on stage as aunt and niece, with Katie emotionally bowing out of the soap at the end of Sinead Osbourne’s cancer storyline after seven years of playing the character in 2020.

Lisa appeared delighted to be reunited with Katie and posed for a smiling selfie together as they took a break from exploring the Italian city. Sharing the snap to Instagram, Katie said: “Our Sinead and Auntie Beth… it’s like we’ve never been apart.”

And friends, fans and followers of the pair were quick to respond. Corrie’s Sally Carman-Duttine wrote: “Pair of beauts.” Julia Goulding replied: “Gorgeous women.” Katie’s former TOWIE star boyfriend Ricky Rayment shared: “Looking gorgeous ladies..have funnn.”
