Corrie’s Toyah Battersby found out she was pregnant recently and while she’s told Nick Tilsley the baby is his, fans are convinced something sinister has actually happened

Coronation Street’s Toyah Battersby’s real baby daddy has been ‘exposed’ after her unexpected pregnancy announcement.

This week on the soap, Toyah (played by Georgia Taylor) was hurried to hospital after Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) discovered her writhing in pain from severe stomach cramps.

However, during her hospital visit, Toyah was hit with the shocking news that she’s pregnant. The soap legend was left gobsmacked – particularly as she recently had a fling with future brother-in-law Nick.

Her sister Leanne (Jane Danson) probed Toyah about the potential father – but she dismissed it as a one-night stand with an unknown man.

Despite Toyah privately telling Nick that he is the father of the baby, fans are worried that something more ominous has occurred. As viewers will remember, Toyah’s had a tough few months, reports the Express.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that she had a child when she was 19, following a rape incident back in the early 2000s. Tragically, the baby, Rose, was stillborn and Toyah buried the body on the red rec.

In the midst of all this, Toyah has also been targeted by creepy Rowan Cunliffe, the head of a cult that Leanne has been associated with. After being sued by him, and following her distressing baby revelation, Toyah ended up sleeping with Nick, on the day of Rose’s funeral.

And true to soap opera style, Rowan had his mate take some photos of Nick and Toyah together – and has been using them for blackmail.

However, with the recent revelation of Toyah’s pregnancy, fans surmise a startling impregnation twist unfolding.

Over on the platform X, previously known as Twitter, one user speculated: “Say Rowan and the institute did something to Toyah offscreen that she’s unaware of, that we didn’t see and they’ve somehow impregnated her? !”

Given Rowan’s eerie cult ‘The Institute’, renowned for exploiting AI, another fan pondered, “Need to know if Rowan has someone impregnated Toyah through AI?” A third one questioned, “are we ruling out the possibility of it being Rowans?” Another swiftly retorted, “Not me!”

Meanwhile, on Reddit, a user hinted, “I seriously think Rowan had something to do with Toyah’s pregnancy.” Another theory was, “Toyah’s pregnant with Rowan’s baby. Leanne will be more jealous about that, than about finding out Toyah slept with Nick. Baby will be AI.”
