had been asking questions about the circumstances of Victor’s death. Brady suggested that Theresa might have opened the briefcase and discovered the truth about Victor’s fortune. Alex considered this but doubted it, reasoning that if it were true, Theresa would have known about the fortune before they slept together. Brady explained that Theresa had gone from casual flirting to wanting to seal the deal very quickly, suggesting that the timing was perfect for her to have discovered something significant.

Brady reminded Alex that Theresa had initially tried to seal the deal with him, but he had rejected her. He believed that Theresa’s devastation was all part of her strategy, playing both men for her own gain. Alex was confused and skeptical, not believing Theresa could be so deceitful.

At the Kiriakis house, Theresa questioned Sarah about how they found a location for Xander’s mom, Fiona. After apologizing for her overreaction, Theresa explained that alcoholics can be mean and destructive. Sarah reassured her that they had considered their options. Theresa, with a broad smile, offered to help with the wedding invitations, surprising Bonnie. Theresa claimed she needed to help so that Sarah would return the favor for her wedding. Bonnie, always full of ideas, proposed a double wedding, shocking both Sarah and Theresa. They were skeptical, knowing that Xander and Alex did not get along.

Meanwhile, Bonnie and Sarah were distracted by Teresa’s quick-thinking inquiry about the invitation stamps. Taking advantage of the distraction, Theresa hid Fiona’s invitation behind her back. She then cheerfully declared that she had found the stamps and urged Bonnie to continue her story.

Brady had warned Alex not to mention his theory about Theresa’s motives, especially in front of her. Later, at Basic Black, Theresa invited Alex to lunch. As they were leaving, Brady congratulated Theresa on her engagement, leaving Alex looking concerned.

In Horton Town Square, Sarah informed Xander that the invitations had been sent out. Xander was surprised to learn that Theresa had helped, suspecting she was setting up for a favor later. After the session, Bonnie found Fiona’s discarded invitation in the wastebasket and decided to mail it herself.

In another twist, Eric had an emotional breakthrough at the Spectator office. EJ contacted Rafe, demanding he find Melinda Trask to secure Gabi’s release. Stefan faced off with Gabi at Statesville, adding to the ongoing drama.
